How long does tooth whitening take, and how effective is it?

Dr. Marsh says:

Tooth whitening generally takes between one to two weeks with the office/at home whitening system. However, we can use an in-office procedure that takes only one hour that is equally effective; this is quite a benefit to those patients who want an immediate result.

The tooth whitening procedure has a very long-lasting effect. We have patients who whitened their teeth over 5 years ago that still marvel at its success; occasional touch-ups may be done to enhance the result.
